Why not just use a regular washcloth?
A washcloth gets used, hangs damp, and gets used again. In a 2023 study that followed household towels for six months, a visible film of bacteria had formed within about two months of normal reuse. Nobody has shown that film causes breakouts, so we won’t claim it. What a single-use towel does is simple: nothing from yesterday touches today’s clean skin.
Wet or dry? What do I use them for?
Both. Pat your face dry after cleansing (smooth side), or run one under warm water with your cleanser (embossed side). They hold up soaked and don’t shed. People also use them for makeup removal, a warm compress, the gym bag and travel.
Are they okay for sensitive or acne-prone skin?
They’re 100% viscose with no fragrance, no preservatives and no lint, so there is very little to react to. They are not an acne treatment and we don’t sell them as one; they remove one variable, the damp reused towel. Patch-test any new product if your skin is reactive.
How long does a box last, and which pack?
50 towels a box. Used morning and night that’s 3–4 weeks for one person; once a day, closer to two months. 4 Pack is the most popular for one person, 6 Pack for two people, and the 10 Pack is the lowest price per towel.
What are they made of, and how do I throw them away?
100% viscose, a fibre made from wood-pulp cellulose, so no plastic in the towel itself. Bin it after use; like every wipe or towel, don’t flush it. Honest note: viscose is plant-derived but its manufacturing is chemically intensive, so we call it plastic-free, not zero-impact.

A face towel spends most of its life damp. Here is what has actually been measured, and what hasn’t.

Patting a freshly washed face dry with a single-use towel

In a six-month study of household towels, a visible biofilm had formed within about two months of normal reuse, and bacterial counts kept climbing from there. Most of it was environmental bacteria rather than skin bacteria, and the study drew no link to acne. We don’t either. The point is narrower: a towel used once has no history.

A separate study found that rubbing skin with a rough towel measurably lowered its ability to hold water for days afterwards. Pat, don’t scrub, and use something soft. That is a bigger, better-documented effect than anything about bacteria.

Will these help my breakouts?

We can’t promise that and we won’t. No study shows towel hygiene treats acne. What a single-use towel does is take one variable out: the damp, reused cloth. If you break out easily, it’s one of the cheapest changes to make, and it costs nothing to test for a month.

Isn’t single-use wasteful?

In raw-material terms, yes: you are using fifty towels a month instead of washing one. The towel itself is plant-derived viscose with no plastic, and you skip the hot-water laundry. We’d rather say that plainly than call it green.

How big are they?

Face-towel sized, not bath-towel sized. One is enough to pat a whole face dry; a few reviewers wished for an XL, and we hear them. Use two if you want skin properly dry before serum.

Do they leave lint or residue?

No. They’re non-woven, so there are no loops to shed. Reviewers use them to apply toner because they don’t flatten or fall apart like a cotton pad.

Can I use them to take off eye makeup?

Yes: smooth side, with your remover or micellar water, gently along the lash line. Because every towel is new, nothing from last night’s mascara comes back to your eyes.

Which pack should I buy?
